Hanover, Germany — On December 6–7, 2025, the Association of Chinese Physicists in Germany (GCPD) successfully convened the 2025 Sino-German Physics Conference and the 34th Annual Meeting at Leibniz University Hannover. Held on the centenary of quantum mechanics, the conference carried the theme “A Century of Quantum – A Rendezvous Across Space and Time”, commemorating a century of groundbreaking achievements while spotlighting the latest frontiers in quantum science.
The event was organized in partnership with leading institutions including the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, the Beijing Institute of Quantum Information Science, and the Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics. Delivered in a hybrid format with both in-person sessions and global live streaming, the conference attracted wide international attention and underscored the growing momentum of Sino-German collaboration in physics.
