Atomic Vapors

Hot Atomic Vapors offer a wealth of opportunities in quantum technologies. Starting from laser locking, they can be efficient atomic line filters. Furthermore they are quantum optical detectors for electric or magnetic fields.

This research on hot atomic vapors has three main objectives:

  • Designing optical tools for quantum optical experiments, such as atomic filters
  • Magnetometry and quantum sensing
  • Rydberg excitations for quantum optical information storage
