Lithium metal batteries: Exciting new research!

A recent collaborative work titled "Amorphous lithiophilic cobalt boride@rGO interlayer for dendrite-free and highly stable lithium metal batteries" has been accepted for publication in EcoEnergy (Wiley).

Lithium metal batteries (LMB) are essential for electric vehicles and portable electronic devices, but the growth of lithium dendrites poses a challenge. To solve this problem, a new lithiophilic interlayer, CoB@rGO, is applied to a commercially available PP separator. CoB@rGO improves the deposition sites for lithium, improves the wettability of the electrolyte and promotes the formation of a permanent solid electrolyte interphase, which increases long-term cycle stability.
